This paper examines the impact of entrepreneurial orientation (EO) on firm performance among renewable energy startups in the Delhi NCR region. Utilizing a multiple case study approach, we analyzed four startups-MYSUN, AMPIN Energy Transition, Sunlabz Energy Solutions, and Loom Solar-to understand how dimensions of EO such as risktaking, proactiveness, and innovativeness drive operational success. Our findings indicate that a strong entrepreneurial orientation not only facilitates rapid market expansion and improved operational efficiency but also enhances revenue growth. Additionally, the study highlights the critical roles of continuous knowledge creation and systematic organizational unlearning in enabling these startups to swiftly adapt to rapid technological changes. The dynamic environment of the renewable energy sector necessitates agile responses, and our research shows that startups which integrate emerging technologies into their operations achieve superior performance outcomes. By contributing empirical evidence from an emerging market context, this study enriches the literature on entrepreneurial orientation and knowledge management, and provides actionable insights for startup founders and policymakers seeking to foster innovation and sustainable growth in the renewable energy landscape.
