Abstract

Microgrids ability to operate in standalone or grid connected mode is vital during grid transients or blackouts.. However, mode transitions can result in transient effects that threaten overall system stability. This paper introduces a microgrid controller for smooth operational transitions. The efficacy of the developed controls is verified through Hardware in Loop (HIL) testing.
