Abstract

Operational Technology (OT) systems, critical for industrial automation and control, are increasingly targeted by-sophisticated cyber threats. The unique requirements of OT environments necessitate the implementation of tailored-cybersecurity measures, among which a dedicated Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) system plays a pivotal role. This-paper explores the importance of an OT-specific PKI system, highlighting its advantages, challenges, and implementation-strategies, supported by detailed examples and references.
