Problems encountered during erection & commissioning of Ghatghar pumped storage scheme (2 X 125 MW)

In the course of erection & commissioning of Ghatghar Pumped Storage Scheme (2 × 125 MW) Hydro Wing of GOMWRD has faced several problems. These problems were analyzed & carefully handled by our hydro projects, erection wing. In this paper, the attempt is made tobring forward a few selected problems faced, remedies evolved & lessons learnt from them. These problems may serve as a guideline to design wing in their future ventures. This feedback of remedial measures can also be adopted by other utilities to avoid the time delays in the project implementation.
