Employee retention is not much discussed in times of economic downturn employees tend to be hunkered down and glad they have a job at all. In times like that “retention” has a kind of inverted aspect. In most cases those with lower income tend to be favored. In expansive times companies are beating the bushes for people, and opportunities abound. This research utilizes random sampling method. The total population size were 180 from, which 60 samples were drawn from four departments such as spinning, carding, winding, and dying. From each department 15 samples considering males and females were selected. Interview method was used to collect the data. This study dealts with the benefits provided by the employees, the rewards and recognition of the employees, benefits of individual career plans, factor of employee retention and outcomes of employee retention. The study concludes highlighting the textile mills, maintaining smooth relationship between workers and management, which leads to enrichment of organization efforts.
