Abstract

The Present study makes a humble attempt to Trace the growth and evolution of Socio-Political awakening in the India as was reflected in the modern journalism or Press during 1868-1900. This paper shows ‘How to start Hindi Jouranism.” And many parts of India’s Hindi newspaper proved to be the first successful attempt with the Starting of Harishchandra’s Hindi writing books as well as his Journals. It is a great event for Indian’s that they are reading newspaper & journals in Hindi language. During the third quarter of the 19th Century, several organizations, Such as Brahma Samaj, Shudhi Movement, Sanathan Dharam Sabha, the Kuka Movement, Singh Sabha Movement, Ahmadiya Movement and Several other also followed Harischandra’s Hindi books & journals and started the Printing of their own newspapers which gained Popularity among Indian’s and awakening the all Indian People.
