Abstract

Quality assurance plays a vital role in facilitating improvement in all the activities of an organization. As every country has separate quality assurance agencies that audit the higher education institutions (HEIs) and provide accreditation, each HEI has to ensure continuous quality enhancement in all its activities. In particular, HEIs have different methods of quality assurance processes which they have to undergo to maintain and improve quality in providing standard internationally benchmarked education to the students.

This paper identifies the general requirements of a quality assurance management system data management tool with respect to Omani standards. We try to find the common requirements for a quality assurance management system for any HEI. The paper presents a Use – Case Diagram and Viewpoint hierarchy of the system in general. User Interface and a model have been developed for HEIs in Oman, in particular for Sur University College. Also, this research provides different user levels to use the quality assurance management system to maintain confidentiality and creditability.
