A non-governmental organization (ngo) is any non-profit, voluntary citizen's group which is organized on a local, national or international level. As ngos play increasingly important roles in sri lanka, it becomes even more critical for them to perform effectively in providing better services to the vulnerable community. In response, ngo's managers and consultants have demonstrated growing interest to develop the capacity of resources and management those will help them build high-performing organizations. This study explores the “resources and management and its influences on organizational performance” with samples of 42 employees from fourteen local ngos and 30 employees from ten international ngos in vavuniya district. Stratified random sampling technique and self developed questionnaire was used to conduct the study. Exploratory factor analysis technique has been used to reduce the variables, descriptive statistics, correlation and regression analysis has been used to compare the variables. The results show that, resources is accounted for coefficient of determination (r2) with organizational performance of local and international ngos at 0.314 and 0.323 respectively. Management is accounted for coefficient of determination (r2) with organizational performance of local and international ngos at 0.531 and 0.376 respectively.
