Abstract

Bibliotherapy is one way to reach through to children's confusion and dismay to clarify disturbing issues and present alternative life skills that would trigger their motivation to become emotionally healthy and later as adults. This essay is concerned with the following ideas that while bibliotherapy is the process of growing toward emotional good health through the medium of literature, to which extent it can be successful. Moreover this essay discusses how books can be used as a mode of psychotherapy in relation with reader-response theory and psychology. Moreover, this essay is to provide proof that literature which has not been considered as useful not because the contents have been more appealing to emotions, but because literature has not been put to practice in real life or if so the practices have not been eye-catching at least due to lack of enough practical usages of literature.
