Abstract

Environment has been the mantra of today's planet and every pinch of salt smells towards it. India's corporate houses are witnessing a competitive strength in recent years and putting the flag of the nation flying high in the global park. Growing nations and neighbor nations are close in watch with the country due to the rapid growth. The new innovations in the market are turning over a new leaf in their revolution. Green marketing is one such Phenomenon in the modern marketing. Ever since American Association has initiated the eco marketing campaign in the year 1975, the so called eco marketing or sustainable marketing, the concept has forced the consumers to think broad for the nation as well. The initiatives are endless and enormous. Right starting from service to product, the revolution has been initiated and a match of promotion has begin. Right the day, our honorable prime minister flag high his head in the Copenhagen meeting, people have started thinking a step head and started contributing to the nation through the green. Various literatures have addressed the researchers about the initiative and initiated the process of analyzing the green marketing. Green marketing not only means the advertising or promotion, but also includes a production of green product which are eco friendly and no harm to health. Consumers have started swaying the schemes of green marketing and understand the environmental benefits. Green marketing refers to the process of selling products and/or services based on their environmental benefits. Such a product or service may be environmentally friendly in it or produced and/or packaged in an environmentally friendly way. The phases of green marketing is in proper forum and is as per Peattie(2001).
