English, as an international language and as the window of the world, serves purposes in hundreds and fifties. Students of the present days, by acquiring mastery over English, wish to learn foreign languages in order that they might explore the various possibilities and opportunities in the global market. It is a wellknown fact that no language can be taught or learnt. Unless one is interested and employs some techniques or strategies, learning of a language might not be possible. To learn French, exploring the intricacies of French grammar through English, in a lingual context, is one of the best methods that could be advocated by the teachers of French. This paper begins with an introduction on the importance of developing the writing skills of students in French, analyzes some of the major intricacies of grammar with some of the notable differences between English and French and suggests certain methods of teaching French through English.
