The growth in the medical sector emphasises a new demand.This relates to managing the hospitals and running them profitably. The study was done at a leading tertiary hospital and it was conducted as an organisational study. The study aims to understand the current role of a hospital administrator, where they were lacking and how to upgrade their skills so as to face the newer challenges in healthcare sector. A more effective job description was suggested which could cover their various activities.
