Abstract

The increasing rate of alcoholism, drug addiction, violence among young generation particularly engineering college students are increasing day by day. (The Hindu- Dec 3, 2012) The suicides rate also increasing every year including premier technical institution like IIT, IIM and other centralized funded technical institutions such as NITs, IIITs, IIMs and other state technical institutions. It is our duty to analyze and minimize the same. It is due to change in behavior of student's particularly psychological adjustment and environment. This study indicates that there are different types of adjustment namely home, health, social, emotional etc. It was found that there is relationship between these and the personality variables like ego, emotion, anxiety and fear are related to the same
