Abstract

Nature has given us so many gifts which can be used for the betterment and development of human life. Nature carries the power of replenishment to a certain limit but over exploitation of natural resources creates a dangerous imbalance in the nature which leads to environmental pollution, depletion of Ozone layer, fluctuation in weather and so on. Sustainable development demands for rational use of resources and respect for nature. So there is an urgent need to create awareness towards environmental problems. Keeping this point in view, present study was conducted on 100 secondary school learners with the help of self made tool. The main findings revealed that residence plays no important role to develop awareness towards environment problems. But gender plays a vital and significant role in developing awareness towards environmental problems.
