Abstract

The present study was done on the objective of nutritional intervention among school going children. Six primary schools were selected from Faizabad District. Four hundred school going children were selected for the study. Information was collected on general profile and food consumption of school going children. The analysis was done on the basis of both primary and secondary data. The data revealed that cereals and pulses, a staple food was consumed daily. Milk and milk products were found to be essential part of diet. The nutritional intervention of school going children are help to reduce the small consumption of green leafy vegetables, roots and tubers and fruits. The finding support the importance of providing nutritional intervention among school going children to promote healthy dietary behaviours
