Today it has become a routine matter to find adulteration in eatables or food products in the market. Generally it is more prevalent in valuable eatable products like ghee, milk, honey, masalas and medicines etc. Now it has become very difficult to select a product without adulteration or pure in nature. These adulterated products affect the human body very adversely. By the continuous use of these products consumer suffers from lots of serious diseases like, kidney problem, heart failure, digestive system, cancer, flues and so many others. Adulteration in eatable food reduces the quality of the product and increases the toxic in the product. Few years ago, the reason of Dropsy disease was found the adulteration of Arnimon oil in mustard oil which affected the society as a whole very badly. Today in the developing country like India, medicines are also not free from adulteration. Think what can happen when the life saver becomes the life taker.
Now days in the market poor quality surgical instruments are being used very freely. Today the merchant even after charging the full value of the product not providing the real value of the product. The provisions of consumer protection act 1986 are not fulfilling its objective or we can say consumer is not aware of their rights and not properly utilizing the act and is being cheated by the cunning merchants day by day. So the present paper in an effort made to make consumer aware about their rights and about the provisions of the act.
