The Key for the software software project delivery lies with communication mechanisms defined with in the project and how effectively team members and project manager communicating with different stake holders on day to day project issues and on time communication of project metrics as defined in the contract. But during software project implementation, many communication conflicts are arising between project manager/leaders and team members and between project managers and company's senior management and between team members and customers because of various reasons. If project team's communicate effectively they will get repeatable business from same customers, better customer satisfaction and customer delight lies with managing the customer in a better way without having communication conflicts with the them. Communication conflicts arising because of lack of Leadership qualities and the nature of Projects trying to address the needs and requirements of many stakeholders, misunderstanding of customer's market needs by team members, lack of effective communication mechanisms defined in the project, lack of on time communication of project risks and goals to all stakeholders by project teams, lack of communication about performance appraisals for team members, lack of on time communication of day to day project performance to all stakeholders by project teams, lack of good communication of team members with customers during project discussions, lack of Negotiation and Mediation skills by team members. To resolve these conflicts, Project Managers should defined good communication mechanisms in the project and should communicate performance of team members on a defined frequency, provide direction to project team how to understand customer requirements and document them. Likewise, team members and project managers also should learn and lead the project through Negotiations and Mediation mechanisms to decrease communication conflicts between different stakeholders. The present study has been conducted to understand the perception of communication related conflicts in various software industries located in Hyderabad and why conflicts are arising, leadership for conflict resolution and how these are interrelated with each other.
