Abstract

In today‘s competitive business environment competent and committed workforce play a major role in achieving the organisational goals and attaining sustainable growth. In this context the paper analyses the need for periodic OD interventions and competency mapping exercises for building competent workforce within the organisation. This paper highlights the changings paradigms in Competency Management and its implementation at Firepro Systems. Here the various methods and tools used by Firepro in identifying and defining the organisational and functional competencies for its workforce, OD interventions, competency mapping,and implementing Competency Management is discussed in detail.
