Abstract

There is a growing use of mobile learning (m-learning) in education. Mobile technologies will be a new evolution for learning and teaching (Shih & Mill, 2007). BenMoussa (2003) stated some advantages of m-learning such as personalized communication, collaboration in real-time, and student orientation. Nevertheless, disadvantages include limited individual memory and mobile devices display capacity (Ally, 2004). Many scholars and educators are contributing to the development of learning theories and instructional designs that use m-learning. Others have focused on creating strategies to overcome the deficiencies of mobile devices and enhance learning effectiveness. This paper will analyze instructional design models that are being developed for m-learning.
