Abstract

Entrepreneurship is considered as less career option for many management students in India especially in Tamilnadu compare to northern and other states of India. There are many factors that determine an individual to be an entrepreneur. In this study, the researcher aims to reveal the factors that influence management students to be an entrepreneur, especially how the gender plays a crucial part in deciding entrepreneurship career. Researcher used questionnaire has its research instruments to collect the secondary data. This research deals with descriptive research type. Hypotheses were formulated on gender influence towards entrepreneurial attitude. The major purpose of descriptive research is description of the state of affairs as it exists at present. In this research cluster sampling method was used to collect the primary data by using questionnaire. The total sample size of 267 has been taken for this study. The researchers found that Boys and Girls have different attitude in choosing entrepreneurship as their career even when there is no difference of opinion between Boys and Girls towards Entrepreneurial rating as well as the risk propensity of Boys and Girls are also identical. Family members provide equal financial and moral support to Boys and Girls in becoming an entrepreneur.
