The discussion on whether the programming is an Art or a Science is not a new. Different people have different view on the subject. Some say programming is an Art and some say programming is a Science. And everyone have their own reason behind their view. This article is a part of my research on programming. A new question is raised in my mind that is a programmer an Artist or a scientist? This may not be a new question but may be a new dimension of the similar question. The solution to this question is also given in a new dimension and tried to prove that the programmer can be an artist or a scientist or both. The role of a programmer is polymorphic in nature. The role that a programmer plays depends on the problem, depends on the field of work and depends on the environment of work. The concept is tried to explain first by understanding the definitions and meanings of the terms related to the problem and then tried to prove that the programmer is a polymorphic in nature.
