Abstract

The graph of crime against women in India is on perpetual hike. It does not have any geographical boundaries and not confined to any particular age, community, caste and creed. The things are moving from bad to worst. It is propagated in our society that the major reason for crime against women is the malicious notions of men. As we are living in a male dominated society, men are always held responsible for all atrocities against women. This paper is bit contradictory to the aforesaid statements. It observed that women herself is somewhat responsible and accountable for the crimes against her. This paper also suggests measures to alleviate this inhuman menace from local to global level. The prime objective of this paper is to create awareness amongst women.
