At random use of plastic is one of the biggest threats of environmental pollution although it is our part and parcel of our daily life. Although it caused harm to our body and vitiate our environment, use of plastic could not be totally omitted. Therefore, the significance lies in making the people aware about its irrational use and its injurious effect on health.
Following a survey format, personal interaction with the house holders during survey, analyzing the collected data through diagrams, charts etc., Documentation, photography,. Personal interaction with local reputed citizens, social workers etc., discussion with the councilors of ULB, voluntary organizations, NGO's etc., organizing of workshops, seminars, Street Rallies, Sit & Draw competition, staging Dramas among the school and college students for creating awareness on irrational use of plastics-its injurious effect on health and environment.
Citizens were conscious about the right way for proper disposal of plastic wastes. Students and teachers of different schools and colleges were aware about different ways of disposal of plastic wastes and its controlling measures for minimizing its at random use.
Students of different schools, colleges and citizens of municipal areas were motivated to take some initiative for active participation in some demonstrative programmes
