Abstract

Internet has added a completely new dimension to another wise static field of channel distribution. The internet channel is today being used as an exclusive retail channel especially by mobile industry. This write up tries to identify key challenges and benefits in Indian scenario. It is established that this channel has definitive cost advantage but in India the overall environment right now is not very conducive. Companies will have to show some more patience in bringing scale into this channel.
