Acceptance and embracing new teaching technologies in management education

The class room teaching has evolved from black board, overhead projectors and transparencies to active use of Power Point. The next challenge for professionals has been the appropriate and effective use of PowerPoint and lectures for higher education, where a differing school of thought exists. Progressive management professors are blending new tools that offer narratives that provide context, relevance, and handles, for knowledge retention for graduate students through the use of case studies, simulations, and videos, and hands on training. This paper provides contextual examples regarding how to use real world narratives with student-centered teaching and learning as a means of engaging management students, connecting with them, and providing opportunities for the practical application of course content.
