A study on digital coverage among brics countries

BRICS are the major economic power bloc of the world economy contributing about one-third of the global GDP and thirty percent of the world's land area. The rapid development of Information Communication Technology ICT is making a huge impact in the development of a country. Since BRICS countries are on the path of development their ICT Coverage is of high relevance for researchers. This study focus to analyze the coverage of three ICT parameters -Fixed line, Mobile and Internet usage among BRICS countries. The study reveales that ICT coverage is highest for Russia and India is in the lowest position when compared to other BRICS countries. This calls for an urgent action for in the field of Information Communication Technology for further growth.
