The study was conducted in East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh to identify the reasons for crop holiday as perceived by different stakeholders. The Study was undertaken by using the descriptive research design. Among the selected eighty five respondents. The prime reasons for crop holiday was MSP not covering actual cost of production followed by High cost of cultivation on account of high cost of labour.
