Abstract

In this paper an attempt has been made to analyse the Indo-Russia trade pattern. It has been observed that the top fastest growing export goods are manufactures of straw; of esparto or of other plaiting materials; basket ware and wickerwork with worth 589.21 percentages and other are iron and steal, glass and glassware these commodities are related to manufacture in which Russia have hold. But high growth rate shows that India is trying to improve in manufacturing. There is a need to strengthen the exports share in this sector. It has been also observed that the Indian imports from Russia shows an increasing trend in the last nineteen years. The least growing exported and imported commodities are fertilizers, beverage, railway, pharmacy, vegetable and cocoa and Cocoa Preparations, lace gums, resins and other vegetable saps and extracts. This low share in Indian exports to Russia is due to these commodities facing competition from other countries. We should strengthen our technology for improving the quality of these goods.
