End user satisfaction for ERP system

ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems use the same database throughout an entire company to store various types of data for different computerized functions. The study measures the satisfaction level of the ERP Ramco Marshall system, using five variables namely content, accuracy, format, timeliness and ease of use. Sample size of the study is 257 respondents of employees working in junior, middle as well as the senior level management of a public limited company in Tamilnadu, India. The standard End User Computing Satisfaction (EUCS) questionnaire has been used for the study. In this study it has been found that the lowest score and highest score for mean values of the variables explaining the ERP system were 3.41 and 4.00 respectively. This shows that the respondents generally were satisfied with the usefulness of the ERP system in the organisation. Employees having 10–15 years of work experience differed in their opinion from all other categories of employees regarding dependability of ERP system. The major factors which could lead to satisfaction of usefulness of the ERP system were 1. Easily understandable format of ERP system, 2. Right information provided by ERP system, 3. Exact help provided by the ERP system and 4. Accuracy of information provided by the ERP system.
