Abstract

Music is a very strong entity, so much so that it can make a person go crazy, and also interestingly do the reverse. Music not only should be an Art, but Poetry to Our Souls. We live in an interesting age, because the distinction between pop and underground, with the accessibility of the internet, is becoming blurred. Music industry has become very commercialized -not just in terms of financial matters, but also in terms of media hype. But now question arises-does commercialization deteriorates the music quality. Present study aims at finding the answer of the same. Study concludes that the depth and height of music can be attained only through emotional cultivation and thrust of self actualization. It doesn't mean that it should not be encashed but it should be secondary motive not primary.
