The aim of this study is to analyze the influence of job satisfaction on job performance in Penna Cement industries Ltd, Tandur. Human resource management (HRM) is a management function concerned with hiring, motivating and maintaining people in an organization. It focuses on people in organizations. The primary objective of HRM is to ensure the availability of a competent and willing work force to an organization. Employee Satisfaction is a prerequisite for the customer satisfaction. Enhanced employee satisfaction leads to higher level of employee retention. Organizations spend significant sum on a variety of activities, to promote job satisfaction. The employee satisfaction survey based on 100 employees helped to discover the causes of indirect productivity problems, such as absenteeism, turnover and poor quality of work. In Penna Cement Industries ltd, Tandur, most of the employees are satisfied with working conditions, salary and training programs for their skill development. All employees in the organization have good inter personal relations and good housekeeping practices in their departments.
