Abstract

Training has been valuable in increasing productivity of organizations. The optimum goal of each organization is to maximize their profit through an efficient and effective workforce. And it will be fruitful only when an appropriate training is provided for such and therefore leading to productivity. The paper studies the effects of training on employee efficiency and productivity. This paper provides an analysis of the current facts of such a correlation and offers suggestions for further exploration. A widespread review of the literature in terms of research findings from different studies that have been demanding to quantify and appreciate the impact that individual HR practices like training have on employee efficiency and productivity across various sectors. The central point of our review is on training practices and employee efficiency and productivity and their relationship. In conclusion, we can say that taken as an entire, the research findings are different. Some studies have found a constructive relationship, some unconstructive and some no relationship whatsoever. The paper concludes with information for prospect research by applying different level of analysis on exploring the impact of training practices on employee efficiency and productivity. Our comparison and analysis suggest that absolutely a relationship exists between them but the impact and effect of training practices on employee efficiency and productivity varies for different establishments.
