The work includes studying the implementation of provisions of various labour laws and welfare amenities to bring about the development of the personality and to raise productivity of the worker. The study throws alight on the role of labour law in shaping the structure of industrial relations and ensures upto what extent the labourers are aware of labour laws and the employers are implementing them for the welfare and social security of workforce.

About 25% of population of Agra city is directly or indirectly earning their livelihood through this industry. The estimated numbers of artisans are 99,424out of which 87% are males and 13% are females. For the present study, three export units are considered employees are selected and interviewed on the basis of prepared questionnaire and personnel interview. For secondary data available literature is consulted and for analyzing the data necessary sampling is used. The effectiveness of law lies in its implementation. Its non enforcement is the negative aspect of instrument of social control.
