Self-efficacy is a significant element in Albert Bandura's social cognitive theory. In social cognitive theory, a holistic view of the learner is taken and is considered an integral part of the environment. The learners’ attitude, behavior, responses and environment all work together to create learning. During the process the learner watches the mentor and constructs self-efficacy, and belief that they can complete the task which mentor have taught them. Self-efficacy as a construct has been widely used in individual and organisational circles. Self-efficacy is defined as people's beliefs about their capabilities to produce designated levels of performance that exercise influence over events that affect their lives. This paper examines the studies of self-efficacy in context with individual and organisational aspects.
