Abstract

A project is termed successfully only when it's completed in scheduled time and estimated cost. India is a developing country and “Risk Due to Delay” in any Industrial or Constructional projects is a major barrier. Delay in construction industry us global phenomena and as a result of this, there are miscommunications between the Contractors, sub contractors and the owners of the project. Risk of delay leads to, lawsuits between the owners and contractors, increase in cost of project, termination of contract with loss of revenue, productivity and time. Considering the problems are contextual, the studies have been specifically based on the causes of delay, such as insufficient coordination, lack/ineffective communications between involved parties of the project.
