The present paper studies the analysis of growth of imports of Automobile industry in India. It analyses the growth of imports by index numbers, annual growth rates, and by exponential growth rates. This work focused on finding out the impact of reforms on the growth of Automobile industry in India. The analytical results revealed that the higher significant value of the p-value of the coefficient of the dummy variable indicates that there is an impact of reforms on the automobile industry imports. On the other hand, even the high significant p-value of the coefficient b1 indicates that the time played an important role in the growth of the automobile industry imports during the study period.
