The business climate is continuously changing, and it is becoming more and more multifaceted and complex. Organizations either privates or publics are under pressures which force them to react quickly in order to changing conditions and to be innovative in the method they work. Such actions necessitate organizations to be agile and to make frequent and rapid strategic, tactical and operational decisions. Making such decisions may need significant and relevant tools. In other hand, the world of tools which is supporting decision - making is very extensive and full of confusing and mystifying buzzwords. In this paper, we will focus on two basic types of software solutions that can be used to support decision making which are decision support systems (DSS) and business intelligence (BI).
