Abstract

Human existence on earth is endangered due to many problems in which air pollution is a primary factor caused by human being themselves. This paper attempts to throw some light on its economic impact and legal measures pursued in India, besides giving some important concepts, empirical studies and reasons. Air pollution changes the composition of the elements present in the air that spoils human health and affects life of men and animals. The economic effect of air pollution is far reaching and going to be more dangerous in the nearby future. Hence it calls for the implementation of stringent law, promoting human awareness and enhancing human responsibility so as to arrest and reverse it to preserve environment and civilization for the present and future generations
