Analysis of export growth and performance of automobile industry in India

The present paper studies the growth of Automobile industry in terms of exports. The growth of automobile industry exports is analyzed by index numbers, annual growth rates and by exponential growth rates. This paper attempted to study the impact of reforms on the growth of Automobile industry exports. The empirical results revealed that there is no impact of reforms on the growth of Automobile industry exports. It can be inferred from the results that the variable time played an important role in the growth of the automobile industry exports during the study period
