Maintenance of cost effectiveness of acid storage tanks with respect to HPCL

This research describes “Maintenance of cost effectiveness of acid storage tanks with reference to HPCL”. Present acid storage tanks i.e., MSRL'S (Mild steel rubber lining tanks) that are used in HPCL are frequently getting damaged and their cost of repair and maintenance cost is high which is not so economical. This paper describes the process of rubber lining in the preset acid storage tanks (MSRL'S) and the reasons for their failure. It describes the other alternative for this acid storage purpose which are Fiber Reinforced Plastic Tanks i.e., FRP tanks. It compares the cost estimations of both the tanks.
