The study examined the drivers of job satisfaction among the workers of Bhilai Steel Plant, which is one of the integrated plants under Steel Authority of India Limited. Data from the respondents was collected by conducting an attitudinal survey. Out of 500 questionnaires distributed among the workers of the organization, 452 were answered in full. The respondents included 372 males and 80 females. The statistical tests of Multiple Regression Analysis & Pearson Product Moment Correlation Coefficient were used to analyze the data. The findings pointed out the significance of intra departmental cooperation, job security, training, interpersonal relationships with peers and seniors, level of salary & raises, working conditions, performance incentives and authority & responsibility given as per role for the job satisfaction of workers. The perception of satisfaction was not affected by gender, age or organizational tenure of the workers.
