Abstract

The government of India has defined women entrepreneur as an enterprise which is being owned and controlled by a women and have a minimum financial interest of 51 percent in the capital of the company and gives at least 51 percent of the employment opportunities in the enterprise to women. Women Entrepreneurship is an act of business creation and ownership which empowers women entrepreneurs economically and independently. Throughout world, women entrepreneurs are making significant and considerable impact in all the segments. In India, women always plays very important role in society and household, but due to lower status of women in society there entrepreneurship abilities have not been tapped.
