A comparative study of public sector and private sector banks in India

The banking system is playing an important role in the financial and economic development of India. With the help of performing various diversified activities Indian banking system have become backbone of financial market. The main focus of this paper is to discuss the performance of public and private sector banks. Secondary data is used to compare the performance of public and private sector banks. T-Test was applied on the data. This study concluded that private sector banks are performing better than public sector banks.
