Abstract

Retail has becoming the fastest growing industry in rural based developing indian economy. Now, traditional retailing is shifting to organized retail. Supermarkets, malls etc are the outcome of organized indian retail sector. Government has played a significant role to uplift this sector in the economy. This research study is framed to find the shift from unorganized retail to organized retail in indian. The main objective of this paper is to analyze the trends of indian retail sector as well as the factors effecting for growth. This research paper is exploratory & empirical in nature. Both primary and secondary source of the data has been significantly used with appropriate statistical tools i.e. mean, standard deviation, percentages, cagr and anova. The results and findings of the study proved helpful to understand the phenomena.
