This paper represents the result of investigation of area of Chhattisgarh state which comes under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA). First employment guarantee act in INDIA is MGNREGA. This act brings the ray of hope in the eyes of poor rural people. MGNREGA considered being one of the most ambitious centrally sponsored schemes of Independent India. It is intended to increase the purchasing power of the rural poor during different periods. Also the priority of this Act is to stop the elopement of poor rural in the expectation of employment from one place to another. A lot of research has been done on MGNREGA though still there are a lot of undiscovered dimensions which is needed to be studied.
This paper study perforation in the implementation of MGNREGA practices in the area of allotment of work, distribution of job cards and disbursement of money and workers in the Chhattisgarh state. It covers previous year's data and their examination. It covers the beneficiary minutiae, job card allotment process, wage payment criteria and the funds allocated to MGNREGA for asset creation.
