Abstract

In the present era the organizations have cut throat competitions globally for their best reputations. A sort of new industrial revolutions these days organizations are experiencing which is just as radical transformations. This change has been sparked by introduction of new technologies, particularly the internet which has enabled the transformation to reach every nook and corner of the globe. Organizations are managed and staffed by the people whereas the challenges, opportunities and frustration crop-up from people related problems that arise within organizations. Although businesses are diverse in their systems, approaches, size, structure and conduction, still they all carry on a common aim of production and profit. To accomplish the aims of the organization, managers need to pay attention on the goal achievement time and financial issues. Further, the organizations need to manage their manpower efficiently and effectively on all fronts. The study focuses on literature analysis in order to focus upon present emerging issues, challenges and practices that are persistent in 21st century with relevance to manpower management in organizations. Next, the paper highlights the major components of manpower management, concluding with some suggestions which may add to the existent literature on this topic.
