Abstract

This study analyses the impact of the revenue generated by the states, and the revenue received from the centre in form of tax devolution and grants on the state domestic product of the northeastern states of India. The study employs a panel framework and the data spanned from 1991 to 2015. The findings of the study reveal that, central transfer is an important factor in determining the level of state domestic product of the northeastern states.
