Abstract

In a global environment, organizations are forced to redesign and to re-evaluate their service processes and their work forces due to several reasons like improving their services, competitive advantage, etc. Today, almost all the organizations have to pass in its evolution from traditional marketing to e-marketing. The hotel industry in Uttarakhand in the last decade has shown an economic boom: newly-established Industrial States like SIDCUL (State Industrial Development Corporation of Uttarakhand Limited) in Haridwar, etc. have increased the numbers of international visitors and have realised economies of scale that make tourism an important source of wealth and development. The purpose of this research is to identify the impact of business process improvement in the area of e-marketing in the hotel industry. The research work was conducted to investigate the understanding of E-marketing & it's applications in the Hotel Industry in Uttarakhand State. A Cross table analysis is done on the collected primary data. The results have shown that the hotel e-marketing can not only bring convenience to customers, you can also bring economic benefits for the hotel, and advanced management. It is also found that the majority of firms use the e-marketing concept to improve their communication strategy and reach market segments.
