Optimization of structure & Process results in the desired outcome that plays an important role in achieving cost cutting and patient satisfaction in a hospital. Patient satisfaction is perceived in many attributes of service right from doctors, nurses, investigations to waiting times. In a hospital, satisfaction of a patient plays an important role in optimization of service. The basic output of the hospital is a satisfied patient, if not delighted. Keeping this fact in mind a patient expectation survey is carried out in the general OP (Out Patient) of a secondary and tertiary care government hospital to find the expectations of patients and their actual perceived service. The study tries to find how Patient expectation survey can act as a tool for optimization of hospital services.
