Abstract

A significant asset to any business is their human asset. It would be difficult to determine development, accomplishment or sustainability without high-quality human resources and valuable human resource management. Consequently, it is imperative to appraise human resource management as it may influence gender roles, rights and opportunities in the workplace. CSR is a valuable tool to create gender equality in the workplace. Key pillars of CSR are diversity and equality in the workplace. The present paper aims to highlight various driving forces towards gender inequality in the workplace. Further, key recommended actions to be taken have been if gender equality is to be achieved in the workplace with CSR. An attempt has also been made to enumerate advantages of gender equality in the workplace through effective CSR strategies.
